Answer: I use the cognitive behavioral therapy approach. I find the skills are easy to understand and you can acquire the skill to use in everyday life.
Answer: My experience has been helping adults, couples and children manage anxiety and depression. I enjoy helping couples learn healthier communication skills and conflict resolution skills.
Answer: I will assess your situation and recommend a treatment plan for you. The session is 50 minutes in length. The treatment recommendation may include individual, couple, family or group counseling. Therapy is a weekly commitment.
Answer: No, I do not prescribe medications as a licensed marriage and family therapist. I can refer you to a medical doctor for an assessment. People who have anxiety or depression often have chemical imblances and respond well to certain medications.
Answer: I help my clients focus on how they want their lives to be different. Together in session we will explore the thoughts that lead to feeling anxious, depressed or angry and make a plan to think, act and feel better. All contacts are completely confidential.
